off-the-wall

It started last year, when a friend convinced me to set up a photography blog, as both a way for me to work on my craft and an opportunity to share my pictures.

But while posting pictures of everything, I realized the blog was lacking focus. So I decided to start from scratch, and concentrate solely on my combined passion for street photography and environmental portraiture.

mapaI apologise for the long silence and no recent updates. I’ve been away for nearly a month on a photographic trip.

Spent 12 days travelling in Myanmar with photography legend Steve McCurry on a workshop that took us to five cities — Yangon, Bagan, Mandalay, Mingun and Inle Lake. What an amazing experience to see a completely different culture going through such a transitional period.

After that, 12 more days in Spain, walking around and photographing people in the charming streets of Barcelona. Got to meet a lot of incredible people and their pictures will be here soon!

And during the trip I spent time thinking about personal projects and realised it’s time to shift directions a little here in the blog. I want to focus more on “people”, so I might make some changes any time soon.

Lots of ideas going on in my mind right now…
